Variant
cadwork Variant facilitates the rapid and standardised creation of parameterised building components or complete constructions.
Its typical areas of use are carports, commercial hall constructions, glulam timber trusses and groups of connectors.
cadwork Variant – parametric design
The functionalities of the graphic creation of variants correspond with those of cadwork 2D. Therefore, you don’t need any programming skills and training requirements are minimal.
In addition to geometric and text variables, algebraic and trigonometric calculations are at your disposal for the creation of parametric files.
Designs created with Variant can be imported to cadwork 2D or cadwork 3D by any designer. A licence for the module is only required for the creation of variants, not for the import of completed variants.
The variant is adapted to the geometry of each respective construction by inputting parameters via the dialogue box. As a result, it can be used individually. All parameters are input as values and can be measured off the existing design.
You can easily carry out subsequent modifications to your variant design via the input dialogue. Alternatively, the variant can be broken up and freely edited with all available cadwork options.
