Hence, construction in existing contexts with customised vertical or horizontal extensions and conversions of existing buildings has become a substantial, highly attractive market. Especially small and medium-sized wood construction companies as well as carpentries, which have specialised in high-quality solutions for conversions and extensions, benefit from this development.

Precise recording of existing stock and unlimited creativity

When building within an existing context we never find ideal conditions. In most cases we’re confronted with a slanted, bent or twisted structure as the basis of our new design. It is extremely frustrating then to find that your design tool rather than you determines what your company can plan and build. This must not and need not happen!

cadwork is a volume-based, 3D-CAD programme for unrestricted freedom of design, which lets you set the limits of what is possible. Using the direct link between your total station and cadwork 3D for measuring and stakeout you accurately record and draw the existing building, then add every detail of your new construction. Alternatively, you can import your 3D scanner’s point cloud via our Pointcloud module.

Afterwards, the modules cadwork List, cadwork Drawing and cadwork 2D will generate order and production lists, and facilitate the automatic and semi-automatic production of drawings, in part completely dimensioned! Automatically generated elevations, sections, detail or exploded view drawings can be individually labelled and dimensioned using cadwork 2D tools. With cadwork you can rely on a quick and easy way to produce clear, meaningful drawings which leave no questions unanswered.
